The introduction of the new "Creative Cloud" membership model allows customers to install all four CS6 programs on up to five computers using a single user ID and subscription plan. Customers who have purchased the existing version of Creative Suite 6 can upgrade to the new editions at no additional cost by visiting www.adobecreativesuite6upgradeoffer.com/go/onr_without_code . Adobe is discontinuing its boxed, stand-alone CS6 programs, including Production Premium, Master Collection and Design Standard. For the same price, the "Creative Cloud" membership will continue to offer customers access to new versions of all of these programs as they are released. This is an abrupt change in Adobe's policy since 18 years. It's now policy for customers to have a Creative Cloud membership to install any version of their CS6 software on more than one computer with a single user ID. Previously that was not possible even if you were willing to pay for each instance separately. There are no new Adobe CS6 program boxes being produced now. The Adobe Creative Cloud is no longer an "Adobe" product. It's a service jointly offered by Adobe and Apple. It's now possible to buy Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and other Adobe CC 2015 programs separately from Apple because there are no more corresponding software boxes to purchase. It's easy to see that this announcement has been issued to inform customers of the upcoming discontinuation of the standalone applications for CS6, so that they can decide whether they want to buy them separately before it's too late. At the moment, Adobe looks set to have a product called "Adobe Creative Cloud" which probably will exist after the Adobe CS6 software box business is discontinued. The latest CC 2014 features are now also included in the new Adobe CC 2015 applications. However, no new CC 2015 programs have been announced yet. Probably they are being prepared right now for future release in March or April 2015. The existing CS6 apps will continue to work for customers for at least another three months after that.
